UNICEF is now accepting applications for the New and Emerging Talent Initiative (NETI) 8th Cohort Recruitment Campaign. The NETI Programme is an entry point for dynamic professionals interested in an international career with UNICEF. It focuses on attracting, selecting, developing and retaining new talent from entry to mid-career levels to grow and to develop within the organisation. NETI participants work actively in multicultural environments within the development and humanitarian arenas while contributing to delivering results for children.
Interested candidates must share the United Nations values and ideals as well as be able to listen to and understand the ideas and concerns of the people UNICEF serves. Similarly, interested candidates must be able to communicate and work strategically and effectively with others to achieve results. Additionally, it is critical for candidates to be geographically mobile and willing to serve in emergency and hardship duty stations.

Eligibility:
NETI participants are motivated and talented entry to mid-career level professionals who are interested in an international career with UNICEF and who have a passion for making a difference for children worldwide.
The following candidates are eligible to apply to the NETI Programme:
UNICEF National Professional Officers and General Service staff;
UNICEF staff members holding a temporary appointment;
UNICEF Junior Professional Officers (JPOs) who have completed at least 15 months of the JPO Programme;
External candidates from outside UNICEF.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements
Be proficient in English and another official language of the UN i.e. Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish; knowledge of local languages can be an asset
Have completed an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent)
Be willing to serve in any UNICEF office worldwide, including hardship duty stations
Have at least two years of relevant work experience for functions at the P-2 level, and at least five years of relevant work experience for functions at the P-3 level. Relevant experience should include work in developing countries and in multicultural environments.
Preference will be given to candidates under 35 years of age.
The NETI Programme is currently recruiting candidates for the 8th Cohort through the e-Recruitment system until thedeadline of 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on 1 September 2015. Selected NETI participants are expected to start in early 2016.
